My city family's adventure to the orchard

Hitting orchards or farms are not much of what my city family would often do but when the fall season hits, apple picking always come to mind and that would only mean for us to drive outside of Chicago. Last weekend we went to LaPorte, Indiana and checked out Garwood Orchard.

We set off early and expected the long drive for apples but we didn't expect that we would also be picking raspberries, peaches, nectarines, and vegetables like broccolis, Japanese eggplants, green beans, cabbages, and hot peppers. We felt like we hit the jackpot!

We were so excited that we have already planned to do another visit in the end of October but just as long as we come home early enough before it gets too dark. This city family freaks out a bit when we don't see the city lights beaming on our streets at night when driving.
