Excuse Me While I Emote A Little

Today is the day I took my 3 year old boy to see a theatre play/musical. I was so excitedly tickled in introducing my son to the magic of live theatre but was concerned that he will disrupt the crowd if in case he misbehaves. So when I found out about this Chicago theatre company made just for kids I automatically bought tickets for Cinderella, Jack And The Beanstalk, and Mrs. Claus.

Well surprisingly, my 3 year old was just so happy and even clapped and danced and sang his heart out participating in the interactive play of Cinderella. Embarrasingly so - I on the other hand cried (yes cried!) when Cinderella couldn't go to the ball because of the mean stepmother, and cried even more when Prince Charming was able to fit her with the glass slippers. Why? I don't freakin' know why?! Damn pregnancy hormones always wreak havoc with my emotions. Before the lights turned on after the finale, I made sure I dried my tears up before the rest of the Mommies sans Kiddos I went along with sees me. This saturday I'll be taking my 2 boys to see Jack And The Beanstalk - I'm afraid I'll cry over the goose that lays the golden egg, or maybe when the giant starts Fee Fi Fo-ming.

Anyone else care to share their silly emoting moments during pregnancy?

I remember I used to cry at commercials or sad songs. I was an emotional wreck!

My daughter and I are going to see Cinderella in Dec. I hope she likes it as much as your son did!

I get emoting moments all the time, preggy or not!lol
I love this blog.

But, I cry all the time, with or without pregnancy hormones.

I became pregnant the second time when my daughter was just 7 months old. Needless to say, I had not regained my brain from my first pregnancy yet (I am a firm believer that pregnancy killed some of my braincells.)

In my first trimester of pregnancy, I tried to feed her sippy cup of water to another baby in another mothers arms.

I also left my car running with the doors open while in the store ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASSION during that pregnancy.

My second daughter is 14 months old now and I am pleased to tell you that I have regrown much of my brain... not all of it... but a lot of it.

I would cry while washing the dishes. Frequently! I don't know what was so upsetting about dishes, but they would make me cry several times a week, for NINE months!

My poor husband!
