My Daily 12 seconds

I'm really digging this new site called 12seconds.tv where I will "try" posting my daily 12 seconds. And the best part of all, they have an iPhone app! Keep checking on the 12 second mini widget I will be imbedding on my left sidebar. For the mean time, here is my first 12 seconds video and scroll down to read more about 12 seconds. Let me know if you decide to do one as well, and I will add you on my list.

"What is 12seconds?
12seconds is the best place online for video status updates. It's a super easy way to share what you're doing with your friends and family using short video clips. You can use your web cam or mobile phone. Show your friends where you are, share your thoughts, or tell them how you're doing. We are building a video status platform that will help you keep up to date with your friends 12 seconds at a time.

Why only 12 seconds?
Because anything longer is boring. The scientists here at the 12seconds dodecaplex have conducted countless hours of research to determine the precise amount of time it takes for boredom or apathy to set in during typical Internet video viewing. Our patent pending Electro-Tear-Duct Prongers have determined that exactly 12 seconds of video is the ideal amount of time to keep anything interesting."

Green Your Holiday from Chicagonista Mavens on Vimeo.

Can you believe it? Me the practical and very reluctant greenie is infact turning a slight change of olive. Check out the video that my partner and co-editor Jen and I made for our contest in our site Chicagonista and my MomViews.net. We had so much fun making and editing this video and I think Jen can really make it into prime time tv show. Hey, you never know -- this may be a Chicagonista talk show tv in the making...lol...Hey, why not shoot for the stars. I hope to share the blooper vids soon, and I hope that you enjoyed watching.

Better yet, head on to MomViews.net or Chicagonista.com and join the contest.

My Holly Jolly Christmas so far...

Ok, if these are any indication that my year is going out with a bang then I'm even more excited! MomViews.net (a site I founded) made it in Consumers Union's front page! Woohoo! Consumers Union is the non-profit company that publishes Consumer Reports (www.consumerreports.org). I was very lucky to be chosen by CU to join their Summit this past October, and I've invited them to join us here in our MomViews.net booth at the Chicago Game and Toy Fair.
See me?...yup, that's us alright! To read more go to www. consumersunion.org or here.

And to make it even more exciting...the interview I did with Parents magazine came out in this december's issue. On Page 118 to be exact!!! Woohoo! It is a little itty bitty mention but I was still giddy with delight.

You can even find the article online for cheapos like me who hasn't even bought one yet. But if I can get to my nearest Borders soon, they may have to restock their Parents magazine since I plan to buy them all to send with my greeting cards to all of you. Of course, I'm kidding...haha I'll settle with posting the image of site and article below and a link instead. :-)

Family Affair of different sorts

For 2 weeks we've been huddled at home for some much needed warmth. The kids has been sick with pink eyes that has been going around in school and 2 ER impromptus for my 22 month old for 2 different reasons! 1 was for an allergic reaction from peanuts and the other was when she was wheezing and laboring on her breathing. We had to administer the epi-pen for the first time before the first ER visit which was pretty scary and the latter could be because she is allergic to something else that we didn't know about.

All is fine now and just in time for this past weekend’s event. As you can see below, the kids got to play with their friends over our annual Breakfast with Santa.
