Merry Christmas To All !

A little warning to all the kids from my 3 year old.

This Christmas

This will be the last Christmas my boys will have my husband and I alone to themselves. By next year, there will be a little girl who will pry for more attention and a little girl that would most probably get what she wants. For the last time this Christmas, my 3 favorite men won't have just one girl squeezing between them when they are into their boys night movie bondings. For the last time this Christmas, they won't have just one girl taking all her time to dolly up herself when getting out of the house. And for the last time this Christmas, my 3 favorite men will enjoy building stuff from their new power tools without having the only girl in the house bothering them. Because by next Christmas - 2 girls will be ruling the holidays!

My Heart Is Full

My girlfriends along with my sister threw me a beautiful baby shower this weekend. Their company is enough to warm up Chicago's frigidly cold night. I know I've blogged about how much I love this group of women before - but everytime I have spent a simple and sincere togetherness with them, I can't help but feel so overjoyed.Thank you guys for making this next stage of my life in motherhood even more fulfilling than it already is.

To you my dear friends ---

I know that Katie will be so blessed having to have chosen the 4 of you guys as her Godmothers. Each one of you are very important to me and knowing that asking you guys to be Katie’s Godmother is the right thing to do. It is my way of having you as part of my family and for that we are so thankful that you guys have accepted.

Here are some admirable qualities I wish to instill in Katie as she grows:


Daphne - I wish for Katie to have your true honesty, your strength and the high self-worth that you hold yourself up to.

Jenny - I wish for Katie to have your sense of humor, your extremely kind heart, and your desire to give the best you can give to save anyone or any country if there is any way to do it.

Gigi - I wish for Katie to have your unwavering thoughtfulness, your excellent organizational and planning skills, your crafty sense, and the sweetness you bring with your friendship.

Cecilia – I wish for Katie to have your great capacity to laugh at yourself, your tasteful old world sense of style, and your unconditional maternal love you have for all children.

And I wish for Katie to have all of your belief that there is a God, and that she will find true friends in others like what I had profoundly found in each one of you.
